The simple way is to increase the content of reinforcing fibers in the plastic. However, for a given wall thickness, this approach only yields a linear increase in stiffness. A more efficient approach is to use an optimized design. Due to the increased moment of inertia, the rigidity of the component increases. When optimizing the size, not only the issues that should be considered in engineering design, but also the technical issues related to production and appearance should be considered.
