Tactile Brick Mold

Tactile brick mold (also called tactile brick blocks mold , cut domes, detectable warnings, tactile floor surface indicators, tactile walking surface indicators, or detectable warning surfaces), is textured floor surface indicator system found on walkways, stairs and train station platforms to assist visually impaired pedestrians.

Tactile warnings provide a distinctive surface pattern of truncated domes, cones or rods that can be found by long canes or underfoot that are used to alert the visually impaired of approaching roads and dangerous changes in surface or in grade. There is disagreement in the design community and users as to whether the installation of this building aid may cause a tripping hazard.

Blind bricks are mainly cement bricks used to pave blind roads and guide blind people to walk. Because of their different surface styles, stripes, they are called blind bricks, and dots, called blind bricks. Of course, they have different uses for blind people. There are basically two ways to pour such tactile bricks, one is to use tactile brick molds to pour cement bricks, and the other is to use unburned brick machines to process.
